The US Department of Commerce has preliminarily determined antidumping duties (AD) on certain steel nails from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In a notification published on Jul 30, the department indicated that some producers or exporters from the country did not sell the product at the established fair value during the period of review (POR) from May 1, 2019, to April 30, 2020.
Commerce has therefore imposed a preliminary AD of 3.56pc on Middle East Manufacturing Steel and 1.91pc on Rich Well Steel Industries.
Upon publication of the final results, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will be instructed to collect a cash deposit equal to the AD margin for shipments of the subject merchandise entered or withdrawn on or after the date of publication.
