The US International Trade Commission (USITC) has levied anti-dumping duties and countervailing rates on certain hot-rolled steel (HRS) flat products from Australia and Turkey.
The USITC levied 15.13pc of weighted anti-dumping margins on hot-rolled steel flat products from Australia, and imposed 2.55pc of an anti-dumping margin on HRS products from Turkey.
The department of commerce has also cancelled the administrative review of the anti-dumping duty order on certain oil country tubular goods (OCTG) from Turkey for the period Sep 1, 2018, through till Aug 31, 2019.
The department of commerce had earlier instructed the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency to assess anti-dumping duties on all appropriate entries of OCTG from Turkey for the period Sep 1, 2018 through till Aug 31, 2019, at rates equal to the cash deposit rate of estimated anti-dumping duties required at the time of entry, or withdrawal from warehouse, for consumption.
