The US Department of Commerce has imposed final countervailing duties (CVD) on several exporters of seamless carbon and alloy steel standard, line, and pressure pipe (seamless pipe) from China.

In its final expedited sunset review scheduled to be released on June 3, 2021, Commerce has determined that revocation of the countervailing duty (CVD) order on seamless pipes from China would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of countervailable subsidies.

Commerce has therefore imposed a final CVD of 8.24pc on Tianjin Pipe Group, Tianjin Pipe Iron Manufacturing, Tianguan Yuantong Pipe Products, Tianjin Pipe International Economic and Trading, and TPCO Charging Development.

It has levied a CVD of 49.56pc on Hengyang Steel Tube Group, Hengyang Valin Steel Tubes, Hengyang Valin MPM Tubes, Xigang Seamless Steel Tubes, Wuxi Seamless Special Pipes, Wuxi Resources Steel Making, Jiangsu Xigang Group, Hunan Valin Xiangtan Iron & Steel, Wuxi Sifang Steel Tube, Hunan Valin Steel, Hunan Valin Iron & Steel Group, and 28.9pc on all other exporters of the material.
