Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

The US Department of Commerce has preliminarily determined that seven Spanish exporters of finished carbon steel flanges made sales to the US at less than fair value.

In an order slated for publication on Thursday, Commerce imposed preliminary antidumping duties (AD) on flanges exported from Spain between June 1, 2018, and May 31, 2019.

The weighted average AD margin of 1.03pc will apply to ULMA Forja, Ateaciones De Metales Sinterizados, Central Y Almacenes, Farina Group, Friedrich Geldbach, Grupo Cunado, Transglory, and Tubacero.

Upon issuing its final results, Commerce will direct US Customs and border protection to assess AD on all appropriate entries under the period of review and collect cash deposits from the exporters equivalent to the estimated margins.
