The US Department of Commerce has preliminarily determined that Turkish exporters of steel concrete reinforcing bar made sales at less than fair value in the US.
The agency performed a review of an antidumping (AD) order from July 14, 2017, and selected Icdas and Kaptan Demir as mandatory respondents for the period of review, July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019. In its preliminary results, Commerce has assigned weighted-average AD margins on both the exporters as well as an average rate applied to four other Turkish companies.
Commerce assigned a weighted average dumping margin of 19.1pc and 11.8pc on Icdas and Kaptan Demir, respectively. Colakoglu Dis Ticaret, Colakoglu Metalurji, Diler Dis Ticaret, and Kaptan Metal Dis Ticaret were all assigned a dumping margin of 17.3pc.
Upon completion of the review and publication of the final results, Commerce along with US Customs and Border Protection will assess the AD on all entries by the concerned producers.
