Annual US primary aluminum production grew 3.3pc to reach 1.12mn mt through November 2019, compared with 1.08mn mt produced during the same month last year.
The latest production rate is 1.7pc higher than October 2019’s annual rate of 1.01mn mt. Estimated production for November 2019 is 91,800mt.
Average daily aluminum production for 2019 is estimated to be 29pc higher at 3,090mt compared with 2,393mt reported for the same period last year.
However, global primary aluminum production decreased 0.88pc between 2018 and 2019 for the year through November, down from 58.4mn mt to 58.3mn mt.
