Nevada Copper started producing copper at its Pumpkin Hollow processing plant in Yerington., Nevada.
The first concentrates from the underground mine are scheduled for shipment in the coming weeks. The pace of production is slated to pick up considerably to full-scale commercial levels sometime in the first half of 2020.
The company anticipates 29483mt of equivalent copper production with strong prospects for further expansion. Following the increased activity, projected all-in sustaining costs are calculated at $1.86/lb. At current reserves, the mine’s lifespan is estimated to be 13.5 years with further 288,485mt of inferred resources.
