Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

The US Department of Commerce has amended its final results for the antidumping (AD) investigation into steel fluid end blocks imported from Germany.

In an order slated for publication on Jan 29, Commerce stated that it had made a ministerial error in calculating the weighted-average dumping margin for BGH Edelstahl Siegen, of which the remaining AD margins were based. Thus, the amended results reflect the corrected AD duties to be imposed by the final order.

Commerce will also publish its final results for the Italian steel fluid end blocks AD probe along with Germany. Liquidation of all entries from the two countries, until July 23, 2020, has been suspended. US Customs and Border Protection, upon instruction by Commerce, will assess the antidumping duties for corresponding entries and collect equivalent cash deposits from the exporters.
