The US Department of Commerce has amended the final antidumping duty (AD) on light-walled rectangular pipe and tube imported from Mexico to correct a ministerial error.

The AD for the period of review (POR) August 1, 2018, to July 31, 2019, was initially set at 4.23pc for Maquilacero and Tecnicas de Fluidos, which has now been revised down to 3.13pc. The AD for Regiomontana de Perfiles y Tubos is now set at 5.44pc and is at 4.44pc for Aceros Cuatro Caminos, Fabricaciones y Servicios de Mexico, Grupo Estructuras y Perfiles, Perfiles LM, and Productos Laminados de Monterrey.

The revised AD will also be applicable to the exporters who were not selected for individual review but were imposed with the duty in Commerce’s final AD determination.

Commerce indicated in a notification on Monday that the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will now assess the amended AD on all Mexican pipe and tube imported during the POR and liquidate the material accordingly.
