Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

Superalloy prices rose on Thursday in tandem with increasing LME nickel prices.

 

The weekly Davis Index for Hastelloy C rose by 3¢/lb to $5.22/lb for single truckload delivered processor yard and increased for Hastelloy X by 6¢/lb to $3.94/lb delivered.

 

Inconel 600 also grew by 3¢/lb to $5.12/lb and jumped up by 6¢/lb for 601 to $4.13/lb delivered processor yard. Inconel 617 grew by 6¢/lb to $3.85/lb delivered processor yard and Inconel 625 Vac rose by 2¢/lb to $4.53/lb delivered. The index for Inconel 718 Vac rose by 1¢/lb to $3.59/lb delivered processor yard on Thursday.

 

The official LME Nickel cash contract closed Thursday at $18,966/mt, up by $602/mt from $18,966/mt on Feb 18.

 

Inconel prices, like stainless steel, have risen in tandem with the increase in the LME nickel market this week. Participants expect a further surge in prices if the LME Nickel market continues to strengthen.
