Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

US secondary aluminum alloys producers quoted 69¢/lb, for A380.1, a penny higher than last week’s price, with no confirmed deals. However, buyers rejected these offers resulting in the weekly Davis Index for A380.1 holding at 68¢/lb. 

 

The index for A319.1 was also unchanged at 74¢/lb and A360.1 and A413.1 remained flat at 84¢/lb, unchanged from last week.

 

B390 was the only grade that moved up by a penny on Friday to 86¢/lb from 85¢/lb, on Feb 28.

 

The three-month LME aluminum contract closed on Friday at 76.47¢/lb, down slightly from 77.17¢/lb on Feb 28.
