The US Department of Commerce has levied anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) on forged steel fittings imported from India and South Korea.

The decision comes after the petitioners Bonney Forge Corporation and the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union filed a complaint on October 23,2019 stating that the fittings are sold at less than fair value price leading to material injury.

The alleged dumping margin for South Korea was between 17.08-198.38pc and India was subject to a margin of 0-293.4pc. Furthermore, India is subject to countervailing duties at 2.64-300.77pc.

The US International Trade Commission (USITC) is scheduled to make its final injury determinations around November 27.
