Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

The US Department of Commerce has imposed anti-dumping (AD) duties on several exporters of welded steel pipe and tube from Turkey.

In an order slated for release on July 23, Commerce preliminarily determined that Turkish exporters made sales of the subject material at less than fair value, between May 1, 2018, and April 30, 2019.

As a result, the US intends to impose a weighted-average dumping margin of 12.03pc on Borusan and its subsidiaries, Tubeco Pipe and Steel, Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi, Kale Baglanti, and Kale Baglann.

The agency will instruct US Customs and Border Protection to assess all entries of subject merchandise from the parties concerned with the AD margin assigned, on completion of the review and approval from the US Court of International Trade.
