The US Department of Commerce has assigned antidumping (AD) duties to 29 exporters of drawn stainless steel sinks from China for the period of review (POR), April 1, 2019, through March 31, 2020.
In an order slated for publication on Jan 28, Commerce preliminarily determined that the producers under review made sales in the US at less than fair value. The agency chose Jiangmen New Star Hi-Tech Enterprise (New Star) and Zhuhai Kohler Kitchen & Bathroom Products (Kohler) as the mandatory respondents for the review but the companies did not establish their eligibility for a separate AD rate. However, KaiPing Dawn Plumbing Products was assigned an individual margin of 1.78pc.
Commerce had established an all-others rate of 76.53pc for the China-wide entity in April 2013, comprising of the 28 producers including Kohler and New Star, and will carry this rate forward. On publication of the final results, Commerce will instruct US Customs and Border Protection to collect equivalent cash deposits from the exporters for entries during the POR.
