The US Department of Commerce has levied a final antidumping duty (AD) on steel concrete reinforcing bars (rebars) imported from Turkey between July 1, 2018, and June 30, 2019.
In a notification published on May 21, Commerce indicated that it had not included Habas while levying the final duties after determining that the company did not make any rebar shipments to the US during the period of review (POR).
Commerce imposed a final duty of 5.3pc and 12.41pc on Icdas and Kaptan Demir Celik, respectively, during the POR and 7.05pc on Colakoglu Dis Ticaret, Colakoglu Metalurji, Diler Dis Ticaret, and Kaptan Metal Dis Ticaret.
All importers have been notified to file a certificate with Commerce on reimbursement of AD before the material shipped during the POR is liquidated by the Customs Border Patrol.
