The US Department of Commerce has levied final antidumping duty (AD) on oil country tubular goods (OCTG) from South Korea after finding that they were sold to the US at unfair prices.
In a notification on Friday, Commerce levied AD of 0.77pc for OCTG imported from South Korea’s SeAH in the period September 1, 2018, to August 31, 2019. It levied the same AD for 51 other Korean companies but removed the duty for Hyundai based on rebuttal briefs received by the agency during the assessment period.
The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will now assess all entries of OCTG from South Korea during the period of review and subject them to the AD levied by Commerce.
