Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

The US Department of Commerce has issued final antidumping duties (AD) on steel nails exported from China between August 1, 2018, and July 31, 2019.

Under a notification issued on Jun 17, Commerce issued a final AD of 22.91pc on steel nails exported by Tianjin Zhonglian Metals Ware, the mandatory respondent under Commerce’s preliminary AD notification and the same rate on eight other Chinese companies.

It also determined no shipments from 10 other companies that were previously subject to AD in its preliminary results on the matter.

Customs Border Protection (CBP) will now be instructed to liquidate the material under investigation after levying these duties on the nine companies.
