Romania’s Vimetco Extrusions plans to invest €10mn($11.98mn) to install a new extrusion press to expand its value-added product output.
The company will purchase a new seven-inch extrusion line manufactured by Italian producer Presezzi Extrusion, which will be capable of producing custom profiles of up to 60 meters in length. The line will also have high automation levels and the lowest usage of natural gas, according to Vimetco’s statement on Mar 10.
Vimetco is a subsidiary of the Alro Group with a capacity to produce 25,000mt of aluminum extrusions per year. Alro attributed the increase in its 2020 earnings to better performance of the extruded product and wire rod sales.
