Indian manufacturer Welspun has resumed operations at its pipe and coating plant in Dammam (kingdom of Saudi Arabia) by adhering to the safety guidelines issued by the government, according to the company statement. The company had already partially resumed operations at its Indian plant in Gujarat

 

The company intends to gradually ramp up its production to cater to the rising demand.

 

The unit in Saudi Arabia is one of the largest spiral pipe manufacturing facilities in the area. The state-of-the-art mill can produce upto 350,000mn mt of spiral pipes and double joining plant (DJ). It also has a coating plant with an annual production capacity of 4.5mn SQM (square meter). The pipe unit can produce the pipe length up to 18.00 meters, 24 mtrs through DJ process and coating plant which is well suitable to handle the all sizes. It has an installed line pipe capacity of nearly 2.425mn mt.
