Australian nickel miner Western Areas Ltd mined 16,812mt of nickel ore in FY2021 (ending June 31, 2021) of which the Flying Fox mine produced 5,739mt of nickel and Spotted Quol produced 11,073mt.
In Q4 FY2021, the company’s total nickel production stood at 4,911mt, of which the Flying Fox contributed 1,930mt while Spotted Quoll produced 2,981mt. Total nickel concentrate milled in FY2021 was 16,180mt and in Q4 FY2021, this volumes was 4,622mt.
According to the latest release by Western, the company’s total sales of nickel concentrate In FY2021 were 15,500mt. Around 820mt of nickel was to be shipped to China in FY2021 but remained unshipped due to delays and will now be accounted for FY2022 sales.
