China’s Wukun Steel is supplying 420,000mt of steel to central Yunnan water diversion project, according to government agency China Metallurgical News.
The water diversion project has a planned 661.06km water pipeline to benefit 36,900sq km land and 11.12 mn people. The project requires 800,000mt of building material and 100,000mt of pipes. Investment in this project is CNY78.048 bn. Construction of this project started in Aug 2017.
Wukun steel company is based in Kunming city and it produces steel bars, hot rolled strips, galvanized plates, welded pipes.
