Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha Motor announced temporary suspension of production at two Indian plants – Kancheepuram in Tamil Nadu and Surajpur in Uttar Pradesh — from May 15 to May 31 amid rising number of COVID-19 cases, as per local media. 

 

Many auto companies including Maruti Suzuki, Hero Motocorp, M&M, and MG Motor India have already announced a temporary suspension of their manufacturing units in India.

 

Most of Indian states are under lockdown or have put strict restrictions to curb the spread of the pandemic.
