Jubilee Metals has got its Small-Scale Mining Licence in Kabwe, Zambia renewed after receiving an approval from the Minister of Mines and Mineral Development in Zambia, said a company statement.
The licence has been approved for a span of 10 years and subjects to a few conditions specified by the Minister of Mines and Mineral Development. It pertains to mining of minerals like lead, zinc, copper and cobalt.
Recently, the company had acquired copper Run-Of-Mine material to process 2mn mt of copper which contains in excess of 2pc of the metal. Therefore, the company looks to produce its first copper concentrate from the Sable refinery at Kabwe within the next three months. Jubilee intends to produce 25,000mt of copper annually within the next 4 years.
Meanwhile, the company has appointed financial services expert Nicholas Taylor as a non-executive director to the board effective Oct 1, 2020.
