Tritton returned to normal operations in the March quarter after facing difficulties like insufficient water availability and ore quality in the December quarter. The plant has an annual copper processing capacity of 1.8mn mt.

In fiscal 2019 (July-June) , Tritton operations produced 26,852mt of copper. The company expects to produce 23,500-24,500mt of copper in FY2020.

The company is in the process of securing administrative approvals for its greenfield exploration project Torrens in South Australia. Aeris has a 70pc stake in the project. The company has restricted access to its operational sites to control the spread of COVID-19 and is taking necessary steps to protect its workforce.
