Bulgarian aluminum manufacturer Alcomet’s total production increased by 27.5pc in Q1 2021 to 21,540mt. Its extruded products’ output was up 32pc this quarter at 14,465mt from 10,957mt in Q1 2020, whereas rolled products increased by 19pc to 7,075mt from 5,957mt during the same period.
Alcomet’s total sales increased by 20.36pc to 21,546mt in Q1 2021 compared to the same time last year. The company sold 14.62pc more extruded products this quarter at 7,595 mt from the prior-year period, while sales of rolled products rose by 23.73pc to 13,952 mt in Q1 2021.
In terms of exports, Alcomet recorded the highest sales in Germany at 19.7pc of total exports, while Italy and Poland followed with 14.5pc and 13.3pc, respectively.
Alcomet’s Q1 2021 standalone net profit tallied at BGN171,000 ($106,300), compared to a net loss of BGN772,000 in the first quarter of last year.
