Michigan-based Alro Steel (Alro) is opening a new 200,000 square foot facility in Oshkosh, Wisconsin in February. Alro announced the construction is nearly complete and that the new facility will replace its current 54,000 square foot building also in Oshkosh. The new building will allow the company to expand product offerings, process capabilities, and apply next day delivery on cut to size metals to its Wisconsin customers.
Alro’s recent developments include a new Milwaukee facility purchased in October 2019, to be expanded and completed by the end of 2020. The company had hinted at further expanding inventory and adding process capabilities after its St. Louis expansion project was completed in September 2019.
Alro is a distributor of metals, industrial supplies and engineering plastics, founded in 1948 by brothers Al and Robert Glick. The company operates in more than 70 locations in 12 states and offers a varied inventory of products. Alro services over 25,000 customers across North America with focus on offering cut to size metals and plastics with next day delivery.
