Altiplano Metals’ Farellon copper gold mine in Chile processed 8,055mt of copper at an average grade of 1.53pc copper in Q1 2021, and reported sales of $363,889.
The total extraction and processed copper declined in Q1 by 19.5pc and 11.5pc, respectively, from Q4 2020 due to development work in non-productive areas and reduction in grade control as the benching process of removing ceilings between drift levels had begun.
The overall grade fell by 8.9pc from Q4 2020 but is expected to improve in April as new headings are developed, in addition to access to higher grade zones. The company reported 1,600mt of stockpiles at the site and an additional 1,428mt in process.
The extension of the Hugo Decline to the 369m level has commenced at the end of March. Of this, approximately 80m extension is scheduled to be completed in May.
