Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited(RINL) and South Korean Posco jointly proposed to set up a second steel plant near Vizag in Andhra Pradesh. POSCO sought 3,000 acres of land for the plant with an estimated investment of Rs200bn, according to a government source from Andhra Pradesh.
AP State Government requested the Ministry of Steel to make changes in the proposal which would benefit the state exchequer, the source confirmed.
