Australian iron ore miner Atlas Iron plans to begin operations at its Miralga Creek project, which is expected to process about 9.7mn mt per annum of hematite over the next four years.
The company focuses on exploring and developing small iron ore deposits and has applied for a mobile crushing and screening plant for additional pits with the WA Department of Water and Environmental Regulation and hopes to get approval by the next month.
Atlas Iron’s plant design has a production capacity of 100mt per hour and can crush and screen around 115,000mt to 216,000mt of iron ore every two to three months. The company stated on Wednesday that it has received all approvals and its production schedule will be on track.
