Boeing increased its deliveries by 149pc between January and July 2021 compared to the same period last year, the US manufacturer reported on Tuesday.

The Chicago-based firm indicated that it had delivered 184 aircraft in the first seven months of the year compared to 74 in January-July 2020, with 127 of its total deliveries made up of the 737 MAX model.

Sales of the 737 MAX resumed recently after the two fatal accidents in 2019 had put a hold on its production throughout 2020, while the causes of the incidents were determined.

Boeing’s deliveries in July grew seven-fold to 28 aircraft from four delivered in the same month last year. Of this year’s deliveries, 22 were 737 MAX models.

Last month, Boeing reported that its deliveries for H1 2021 had grown by 123pc, to 156 units from 70 in the first half of last year.
