Brazil’s ferrous scrap exports reached 213,229mt from January through March, increasing by 180pc over the same three-month period in 2019.

 

According to figures from Global Trade Tracker (GTT), Brazil’s ferrous scrap exports totaled 76,050mt during the first quarter of last year.

 

A substantial amount of the exports were to Asian countries, like India (89,384mt), Bangladesh (49,940mt), Indonesia (29,138mt), Pakistan (20,911mt), as well as United Arab Emirates (6,804mt).

 

Overall, Brazil’s global ferrous exports between January 2019 and April 2020 have totaled 920,462mt, according to the GTT data.
