Brazil’s ferrous scrap exports declined by 14.35pc (7,881mt) to 47,013mt in August from 54,893mt in August 2020.

 

In the first eight months of this year, (Jan-Aug), Brazil exported 272,786mt of ferrous scrap, a decline of 47.96pc (251,479mt) to 272,786mt from 524,465mt in the prior-year period. 

 

Brazil ferrous scrap exports to Bangladesh increased by 30pc to 17,343mt in August from 13,337mt in the prior-year period and declined by 13pc from 19,997mt in July. 

 

Ferrous scrap exports to Pakistan increased by 2pc to 15,595mt from 15,234mt in the previous year and by 190pc from 5,375mt in the 

previous month. 

 

Brazil exported 7,661mt of ferrous scrap to India, a decline of 60pc from 19,246mt in August 2020 and of 44pc from 13,691mt in July.
