Brazil’s semi-finished steel product exports increased in February by 1.3pc to 530,636mt, compared with 523,888mt during the same month last year.
The export value this February reached $226.5mn, according to figures from the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic).
In February, the US was the main destination for Brazilian semi-finished products, comprising 43pc of the country’s total semis finished steel.
Through January and February, semi-finished steel product exports totaled 1,37mn mt, declining by 12.3pc compared the same two-mont period in 2019, according to Mdic.
