UK-based mining company Central Asia Metals (CAML) announced on April 18 that its Kounrad copper recovery plant in Balkhash in central Kazakhstan touched 100,000mt copper cathode production milestone.

CAML is expected to produce copper at Kounrad facility until 2034. In 2019, the facility produced 13,771mt of copper cathodes.

The company reported gross revenue of $601mn from copper sales between 2012-2019 period.
