Aluminium Scrap
Canada aluminium scrap export in July increased by 10.25pc (4,652mt) to 50,032mt from 45,380mt in July 2020.
In the first seven months of this year (Jan-July), aluminium scrap exports surged by 29.63pc (79,863mt) to 349,395mt from 269,532mt in the prior-year period.
Canada aluminium scrap export to the US in July increased by 7pc to 32,829mt from 30,777mt in the previous year but fell by 7pc from 35,425mt in the previous month.
Aluminium scrap export to Hong Kong surged by 3,958pc to 3,500mt in July from 86mt in the prior-year period but declined by 20pc from 4,402mt in June.
Aluminium scrap export to South Korea climbed by 100pc to 3,232mt in July from 2,927mt in July 2020 but declined by 19pc from 4,009mt in the prior month.

Copper Scrap
Canada copper scrap export in July declined by 49pc (4,431mt) to 13,468mt from 9,038mt in July 2020.
In the first seven months of this year, (Jan-July), Canada exported 85,026mt of copper scrap, an increase of 41pc (24,746mt) from 60,280mt in the prior-year period.
Copper scrap exports from the US increased by 36pc to 6,040mt from 4,444mt in July 2020 but fell by 4pc from 6,312mt in the prior month.
Canada exported 3,291mt of copper scrap to China in July, an increase of 109pc from 1,575mt in July 2020 but a decline of 13pc from 3,764mt in June, this year.
