China’s car production rose by 11pc in October to 2.55mn units and commercial vehicle production increased by 31pc from the previous year according to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
China produced 2.55mn units of cars and 468,000 units of commercial vehicles in October, according to data published by CAAM on November 13. In Jan–Oct period car production in China fell by 4.6pc but production of commercial vehicles rose by 22.5pc from the year prior. Total production of cars and commercial vehicles in the October was reported at 23.72mn units.
Sales
In China, sales of cars rose by 12.5pc to 2.57 units in October compared to 2019. Sales of commercial vehicles rose by 30pc to 464,000 units in October from the previous year. From Jan-Oct sales fell by 4.7pc for cars but was 20pc higher for commercial vehicles. Sales of cars stood at 19.69mn in Jan-Oct period and sales of commercial vehicles was reported at 4.30mn units in the 10-month period compared to the preceding year.
