China ranks 7 steelmakers as excellent

Seven steel producers were rated as excellent by the National Development and Reform Commission of China in 2019. The commission evaluated 1,563 companies across the country. Taiyuan Iron & Steel company (Tisco) ranked first among steelmakers with a score of 95.3, followed by Panzhihua Iron and steel from Shanxi province ranked second with a score of 93.7. Taiyun Heavy Industry of Sichuan province scored 92.9, Shougang Group scored 92.7, China Yiye Group scored 92.3, Zhongye Steel scored 91.5 and Baoshan Iron and Steel scored 90.7.
