Czech Republic’s industrial producer prices (IPP) grew by 7.8pc in July from the same month last year and were up by 1.6pc from June this year, according to Czech Statistical Office (CZSO).
IPP for base metals and fabricated metal products grew by 20pc in July from the previous year while the prices of transport equipment decreased by 1.1pc and prices for motor vehicles saw a 2.4pc drop in July.
Construction work prices rose by 5.6pc in July with the increase in prices of construction material and products by 12.8pc from the same month last year.
On a monthly basis, the IPP for basic metals and fabricated metal products rose by 4.3pc in July while the construction work prices saw a 1pc increase with the construction material and products seeing a 2.9pc rise.
CZSO also noted that Czech’s consumer price increased by 3.4pc in July from the same month in 2020 and was up by 1pc from June this year.
The biggest impact of this growth was from transport equipment with an 18.5pc increase with motor car prices rising by 5.4pc in July annually, CZSO stated. Transport equipment prices also increased in July on a monthly basis of motor car prices rising by 0.7pc from June.
