Britain’s powdered alloy producer, Aluminum Materials Technologies (AMT) is now wholly owned by Germany’s Eckart.
Eckart will service AMT’s shipments from Sep 1 onwards and all the latter’s ops will be completely transferred by Oct 1 this year. The effect pigments manufacturer will continue to supply A20X powder for additive manufacturing and A205 aluminum castings, both trademarks of AMT.
Eckart has offices worldwide with a workforce of 1750. Its powdered metals capacity is over 10,000mt per year and is part of global specialty metals group Altana.
