Evraz’s crude steel production declined by 2.2pc to 6.78mn mt in H1 2021 against the 6.94mn mt in the same year-ago period.
Russian production comprised 86.6pc of this total at 5.87mn mt down 3.9pc In 1 compared to the same six months last year, while North America produced 910,000mn mt up 10.3pc during the same period under review.
The firm’s steel product sales fell by 4.6pc to 6.3mn mt in H1 2021 with a 0.5pc growth in finished steel products to 3.46mn mt in the half-year period offset by a 10.2pc decline in semi-finished steel to 2.85mn mt.
Iron ore production rose by 1.3pc to 7.14mn mt in H1 2021 compared to the same year-ago period while sales of this material dropped by 19.1pc to 648,000mt in H1 2021 against the same period in 2020.
Total raw coking coal mined by Evraz climbed by 17.6pc to 11.59mn mt in H1 2021 against 9.86mn mt in the same year-ago period while total coking coal concentrate production rose by 6.4pc to 8.05mn mt in the same period.
Evraz’s crude steel production declined by 1.3pc to 3.37mn mt in Q2 2021 with total finished steel sales growing by 6.1pc to 3.24mn mt, against the year-ago period. Iron ore production grew by 10.5pc to 3.75mn mt with iron ore sales increasing by 8.4pc to 337,000mt in the same quarter under comparison.
