Feniks Trade selected NLMK’s Quard 450 wear-resistant steel to produce special-purpose machinery installed on chassis frames and cargo body sides for loading equipment. The steel is made in NLMK’s Clabecq mill.
According to NLMK vice president for sales, Llya Guschin, the steelmaker plans to further develop the 450 wear-resistant steel and produce new grades of related rolled products for the Russian and export markets. The move is aimed towards increasing sales revenue and expanding the company’s specialty steel portfolio.
Wear-resistant Quard steel products significantly prolong the service life of heavy-duty industrial equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and special purpose vehicles.
