Australia-based Fenix Resources’ iron ore shipments from its Iron Ridge Project in the first three months of the year (Jan-Mar, 2021) totaled 220,000mt at an average price of $156/mt, the company informed in a statement.
The Iron Ridge Project is located in Western Australia.
The company had commenced production of iron ore at the project in December 2020 and began sales in February 2021.
The company said that four shipments of iron ore were sent in the quarter with 112,716wmt of iron ore lump and 107,183wmt of iron ore fines being sold in the period.
The company also informed that it achieved a steady production of 1.25mn mt per annum after the full ramping up of the project. With that, it expects a solid production performance and a reduction in costs in the next quarter (April-June, 2021).
The company also informed that Warwick Davies has been appointed interim Non-Executive Chairman on February 19, 2021, after the resignation of Garret Dixon.
