American automaker, Ford Motors is considering the shutdown of its manufacturing operations in India. The company is yet to decide the fate of its Maraimalainagar and Sanand factories. A decision regarding these two factories could come later in the year.

The carmaker has been in talks with several of its counterparts for contract manufacturing or sale of its factories in India, the latest being with Ola, which could use these factories for the manufacturing of its electric fleet.
