Two-wheeler manufacturer Hero Motocorp has extended the shutdown at its five plants, in addition to its Global Parts Center (GPC) in Neemrana and the research and development facility — the Center of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur — by another week till May 16.

 

Hero MotoCorp has five plants in India – Haridwar in Uttarkhand, Dharuhera and Gurugram in Haryana, Neemrana in Rajasthan and Vadodara in Gujarat – with a cumulative capacity of 9.8mn units per annum.

 

The decision came in the wake if deteriorating COVID-19 situation in the country. 

 

The company had scaled down operations since April 22 with the eventual shut down was first extended till May 9.
