Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

The weekly indexes for the domestic brass scrap grades rose in del Jamnagar dropped in Delhi as per the regional demand for scrap. 

The LME three-month copper contract rose by $189/mt to $7,071/mt on Nov 17 from $6,882/mt prior Tuesday. 

The market participants in Jamnagar and Delhi reported slow demand from the domestic sector. Chinese buyers revised their offers by $75/mt to $4,325/mt cfr China level from the prior week. The manufactures had expressed unwillingness to strike a deal at $4,150-4,250/mt, the price offered by Chinese buyers in the earlier weeks. 

The weekly Davis Index for Honey domestic origin (Vilayati) del Jamnagar consumer settled at Rs315,000/mt del Jamnagar consumer, up by Rs8,333/mt ($112.32/mt). The weekly Davis Index for imported Honey settled at Rs329,167/mt del Jamnagar consumer, up by Rs6,500/mt.

In Delhi, the weekly Davis Index for imported Honey brass Wednesday settled at Rs313,000/mt del consumer, down by Rs1,000/mt ($13.47/mt). The weekly Index for Honey domestic origin (Purja) del Delhi consumer settled unchanged at Rs303,000/mt . Traders in Delhi reported subdued trading on Wednesday due to slow demand.
