As the 21-day lockdown till April 14 continues, steel trades remain hampered. The daily Davis Index for rebar in Raipur was unchanged at Rs31,200/mt ($414.06/mt) ex-works. The daily index for billet settled at Rs26,500/mt ($351.69/mt) ex-works Raipur, also flat.
Operations at secondary mills remain suspended until the situation normalises. Prices were flat even in the Mumbai market and the the daily index for rebar settled unchanged at Rs33,400/mt ($443.26/mt). The daily Davis Index for billet in Mumbai and settled at Rs28,700/mt ($380.88/mt) ex-works.
In Mandi Gobindgarh, the daily index for ingot settled at Rs29,800/mt ($395.48/mt) ex-works, also unchanged.
