Davis Index – Daily metal prices, scrap prices & global metal market

The weekly Davis Index for ADC 12 fell by Rs160/mt ($2.16/mt) to settle at Rs126,840/mt ($1,717.30/mt) ex-works Delhi producer from prior Monday as the market aims to strike a balance with auto alloy prices. Davis Index heard ADC 12 trades at Rs131,000/mt ex-works North India producer, but few market participants confirmed this price level.

 

ADC 12 producers in Western India bought old cast/Tense at $1,267/mt, up by $19/mt from the prior week. The weekly Davis Index for ADC 12 settled at Rs136,965/mt, up by Rs4,215/mt ($57.06/mt) from Rs132,750/mt ex-works Mumbai producer from the prior week. Die-casters near Mumbai continued to pay Rs135,000/mt for ADC 12 as per the price contract for October.

 

The weekly Index for LM6 rose by Rs3,960/mt to settle at Rs155,960/mt from Rs152,000/mt ex-works Mumbai producer from the prior week as some large producers in Mumbai revised prices amid sustained demand for alloys and a rise in the scrap prices.
