Iran’s total steel exports rose by 28pc to 6.78mn mt in Mar-Nov 2019 from the prior-year period, according to a report by Financial Tribune.
The country’s semi-finished steel product exports including billets and blooms amounted to 64.45pc or 4.37mn mt. Exports of blooms and billets rose by 48pc to 2.95mn mt in Mar-Nov 2019 and that of slabs rose by 5pc to 1.41mn mt from the prior-year period.
Iran’s finished steel exports rose by 25pc to 2.4mn mt of which long steel products constituted 1.82mn mt, the largest share. Exports of long steel products rose by 75.75pc from Mar-Nov 2018.
Exports of rebar rose by 59pc to 1.55mn mt with 25pc increase in L-beam and T-beam exports to 145,000mt. Exports of other beams in the period fell by 27pc to 125,000mt.
