In Iran, the production of sponge iron and crude steel increased by 11pc and 8pc, respectively, during the first four months (March20-July21), according to Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation (Imidro).
The production of concentrate and pellets has crossed 16mn mt and 14.7mn mt, respectively, while that of sponge iron was at 10.5 mn mt and crude steel reached 7.4mn mt.
Aluminium production for the same period reached 139,000mt a jump of 67pc compared to the same period last year.
The production of copper cathode rose by 1pc and Copper Anode production increased by 3pc during the same period.
