Japan’s ADC12 imports fell by 9.8pc in November from the prior month, on lack of supply from China.
Japan imported 103,778mt of secondary aluminium alloy ingots in November, down by 11,228mt from a year ago, while during Jan-Nov, Japan imported 1.08mn mt of ADC12, down by 8.5pc or 99,913mt from the prior year period.
China remained the top supplier of secondary aluminium alloy ingots to Japan, exporting 28,135mt in November. Japan’s imports from China dropped by 10pc or 3,223mt from the period prior year. China’s production of secondary aluminium alloy dropped on shortage of aluminium scrap with the restrictions imposed by the country’s environmental ministry.
Japan’s ADC12 imports from UAE went up by 8.8pc or 1,685mt from last November, and imports from Russia dropped by 10pc or 2,095mt from the previous year.
